The perfect beauty and fashion packing tips for your honeymoon bag!

Hello girls,

There is nothing more fun to look forward to than packing your honeymoon bag. On your honeymoon you want to look your best in the pool, on the beach, in a restaurant, in a club, the mall or even walking down the streets.

Here are some of my very useful tips for those excited and stressed brides:

1) Know the destination: Try as much as you can to plan the destination in advance. Knowing where you are going will give you an idea of what type of clothes and makeup to take.

2) Weather forecast: As soon as you plan with your fiancé where you guys are heading to, have a look at the weather forecast.

3) Pack in advance: Once you have an idea how the weather will be like start packing in advance. You do not necessarily need to finish-off the suit case two months in advance. What I usually do is that I keep an open suitcase in a corner of my room and every time I remember something I just drop it in.
Keep it unorganised for now and do the final neat preparation when you are close to the wedding day. This is the best way to ensure that you will not forget anything it starts getting more stressful and busy towards the wedding day.

4) Make a list: Write a good list of what needs to be taken, what you already have and what you need to buy.

5) Start your shopping early: Do not keep all your errands, duties and shopping two days before your wedding day. I find brides running around in malls doing last-minute shopping one day before their wedding. Not only is it hectic, you will always forget something which will make you even more stressed.

6) Buy a cute set of suit cases: The wedding day and honeymoon are the most important events in a girl's life. Buying a cute feminine set of suitcases will always bring back the best memories in the world. Sets usually come in one big luggage and one small carry-on. Keep the large suitcase for your honeymoon and the carry-on for your wedding night.

7) Buy many cute pouches: Keep one for your makeup, one for skin care, one for hair products, one for your accessories, one for hair styling tools, one for medicine, one for nail products, one for your makeup brushes, one for beach products and one for the plane.

8) Buy a small neat file where you keep all your documents in it. Travel tickets, hotel confirmations, passports, contacts and addresses of pick-up drivers, a pen and marriage certificates.

9) DO NOT take any diamonds or precious stuff with you! You do not know how safe it will be and you do need something to worry about in your honeymoon at all.

10) If you are going to a beach destination buy a nice beach bag, chic sunglasses, cute pair of sandals and a pretty hat.

11) If you are going to a busy city where there will be a lot of walking, make sure you buy the most comfortable shoes ever.

12) If you are going to a cold place, take with you some good thermals, a nice boot, an umbrella and a nice comfortable jacket.

13) Do not forget your camera, your selfie stick, beach speakers, phone and camera chargers, and adapter for electronic equipments.

14) A Luggage key&lock as well as a name tag!

Do not over pack these items:

Heels: Only take one or two heels at the maximum and alternate between them. Packing a heel for every dress will make your bag so unbelievably heavy.

Sandals: Take with you three sandals/slippers only. Find a way to style them up differently with different outfits so that you do not feel you are repeating what you are wearing.

Bags: A nice travel bag, a beach bag, a waist bag and a chic clutch is all what you need. Packing a bag with every outfit is too much to travel with.

Clothes: Do not take too much clothes. Count the number of days you are staying and prepare full outfits in advance for each day. This will ensure that you do not take with you unnecessary items.

Jackets: One or two jackets is more than enough. Jackets are heavy and fill up unnecessary space in your suit case.

Perfumes: Do not overpack body splashes and body sprays. One is more than enough!

Shower gels: Do not take shower gels. Use the one in the hotel!

Nail Kit: Do not take nail files, scissors etc.. Changing your nail polish colour is more than enough.

Now comes the fun part: Beauty Packing!

Makeup: All you need is your favourite foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, eyeliner, brow kit and lipsticks. Take one of each product. You do not need to take different shades of every product as this is too much to carry. Do not take eyeshadows. Trust me you will not use them!

Nail Polish: Take only two colours with you and alternate between them. Do not forget your nail polish remover.

Tools: Take only the brushes you will need for every product. Cotton pads, cotton buds, and beauty blender (foundation sponge).

Hair products: Shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, leave-in conditioner and palmers for the beach.

Hair tools: Comb, flat iron, doughnut, elastics and bobby pins. Do not take a hair dryer as you can use the one in the hotel!

Skin care: Facial Wash, night cream, morning cream, serum, toner, eye cream, body cream, SPF, tanning oil and after-sun aloe vera gel for sun burns.

Perfumes: Only one perfume and a deodorant!

Others: Do not forget your toothpaste and tooth brush. Do not forget to take Flu & Headache medicines just in case.

P.S. Sharing is Caring:
If you have products that you can use with your husband, tell him not to get his own to avoid over-packing. Stuff like shampoo, conditioners and beach products can definitely be shared between the two of you. Learn to co-exist :)
