Nerve-wrecking: Your Concealer forms Irritating Lines...You're Not Alone!
Hello Girls,
I have seen many girls suffering from their concealer forming those unbearable irritating lines under their eyes. These lines make the concealer look fake, it gives the impression that they are pre-mature wrinkles and definitely kills your overall look.
Let's first discuss why this happens:
1) You are using a concealer that is too thick. Concealer that comes in the form of sticks should not be used under the eyes. They are used as coverage for blemishes, acne and pigmentation.
2) You are using concealer without applying eye cream beforehand. Concealers tend to crease when they are applied on dry skin.
3) Your concealer is not blended properly.
4) You didn't use powder to set the concealer or an eye primer as a base.
Here are your solutions:
1) Make sure you hydrate the area under the eyes with a good eye cream. A tiny drop is all you need.
2) You can apply an eye primer under the eye are as a base for your concealer. Make sure it's a colourless one.
3) Apply Liquid Concealer by distributing it with a concealer brush first and blending it with a beauty blender in a tapping motion later.
4) The most important step is to set your concealer with a compact powder and a blending brush in a circular motion back and forth.
If you still find that you concealer creases, chances are that your concealer needs to be changed.
Favorite Concealers:
1) MAC
2) Makeup Forever
3) Nars
4) Chanel
5) Bourjois
6) L'Oreal
7) Kryolan
And No, Touche Eclat YSL is not a concealer it is a highlighter cause I am sure you have been told by an ignorant sales person that it is a concealer :) Repeat after me: It is a Matte Highlighter!
