Oil Pulling Method: Whiten Your Teeth Today with Coconut Oil
Hello Girls,
Today I will introduce you to a very simple and unique way to whitening your teeth and improving your overall dental health. This method is called 'Oil Pulling'.
What is Oil Pulling?
It is a very old traditional method used in Indian Tribes whereby you put 1-2 table spoons of Coconut Oil into your mouth and keep swishing (Madmada in Arabic) for about 20 minutes.
The Benefits of Oil Pulling are numerous:
Coconut Oil helps removes the stains from the teeth, lightly dissolves stubborn plaque, increases the overall health of the gum, improves breath, cools down any inflammation and results in a much better oral health.
It is advisable to do it consistently for the first week and then do it every other day. For people with more dental problems, you can definitely do it before every meal.
As you keep doing it through the 20 minutes interval, you will find that the oil will start to get thicker and more creamier inside your mouth. This is due to the fact of the increased production of saliva as you are squishing. Once the time is up, just spit it out.
It might seem like a lot of effort to do it for 20 minutes at first, so you can start with ten minutes and then gradually increase as you get used to this habit.
If you do not have coconut oil, you can definitely use Olive Oil.
