Ultimate Confusion: Difference between a blush and a powder/bronzer brush.
Hello Girls,
I have been getting many questions lately about how to avoid the confusion between the brush uses. Each brush has a shape and each shape has a certain use and each use is for a specific part of the face. Makes Sense? Not Yet? Ok, here is a tiny brush guide that can help you differentiate between two of the most confusing brushes: The Blush Brush and The Powder/Bronzer Brush.

Blush Brush:
The Blush brush looks like this. It is flat from the back and the front with a round shape from top. It is different from the powder and bronzer brush. The Blush brush is used only on the cheek bones.
This is how it looks up close:
Bronzer/Powder Brush:
If you take a close look at the powder/bronzer brush, it has a wide surface area from above. Much flatter than the round top of the blush brush. This is because it covers all parts of the face with the product and not restricted only to a specific area. You apply powder all over the face and you apply bronzer on the outer edges of the face; which will require a tool that is wide and fluffy. Makes sense, right?
Powder/Bronzer brushes come with either a long handle or a short one like that in the picture above. When it is short like this, it is called Kabuki. In any case, they both have the same purpose.
Here is a picture of a regular powder brush:
P.S: The most important thing is to get natural hair brushes. Natural hair brushes are the ultimate secret to flawless makeup. They are expensive but worth every penny.
Great Brush Brands are: Mac, Sephora, Makeupforever, Inglot, Illamasqua, Boots, Ecotools (Walmart), E.L.F (USA/Canada) & Real Techniques by Pixiwoo (Boots).
When I was in Egypt, most of these brands were usually not available, so I used to buy the professional set from "Samir William". Amazing natural hair brushes from Paris that I still use today. Small set was for around 350 EGP, large set was around 800 EGP. I always advice my students to buy them.
Tomorrow I will talk to you more about other types of brushes.
