10 reasons you are waking up with puffy eyes everyday!
Hello Girls,
A lot of us wake up with extremely puffy eyes. Have you ever wondered why this happens? Well, here are some reasons that you should be aware of and try as much as possible to prevent doing them.
1) Genetic. Well, this one you can't do anything about expect blame the parent and learn some makeup techniques to hide it.
2) Sleeping too little or too much. Sleeping less or more than eight hours a day can cause water retention and fluid build up around your eyes.
3) Applying the wrong products around your eyes. When it comes to the eye area, it is the most fragile skin of the whole body. Applying creams that are not specifically designed for this area can cause a lot of problems, one of which is puffiness. Never apply anything except if it says 'eye cream'. As for people who apply vaseline around the eyes thinking that it will fill in their wrinkles: Good luck with that!
4) Applying the eye cream in the wrong quantity: When it comes to applying your eye cream, all you need is a very tiny drop to cover the whole area. Applying loads of layers will do more harm than good. It will cause build up of the product which will eventually lead to puffiness.
5) Applying the eye cream the wrong way: The correct application of eye cream should be away from the eye itself. Do not apply it underneath your lashes or directly on your eyelid. It should be applied around the eyes making a full complete circle reaching near your eyebrows and your temples. Do not come near the eye itself, the product will travel to it anyways. Do so in a fast tapping motion!
6) Eating too much salt and consuming too much Alcohol. Salt and Alcohol are extremely dehydrating.
7) Crying and heading to bed. Smile nothing deserves your tears :)
8) Sleeping in a very flat position. Try to support your neck with a pillow or two to prevent fluid from building up under your eyes.
9) Sleeping with eye makeup. Remove your makeup please! I don't need to mention the adverse effects of sleeping with makeup on.
10) An underlying infection or a medical condition that you are not aware of. If you find your eyes too puffy and too irritating visit your doctor immediately!
