7 ways to help you look your BEST even when you feel your worst!
Hello Girls,
It is very common that we often wake up not in the mood, with puffy eyes, dark circles, tired faces, bloated or even with bad hair days. Don't lose hope on days like these. I will give you some tips and tricks that can help you overcome this "Woke Up on the Wrong Side of the Bed" kinda day!
1) Waking up to puffy eyes: If you wake up with puffiness around your eyes, freeze a spoon for about 20 minutes and massage it on around your eyes. This will help de-puff and enhance blood circulation. Follow with a good eye cream and Voila! Apply some garnier roll-on or a regular tea back for ten minutes.
2) Waking up to tired sleepy eyes: Moisturise the eye area very well with eye cream and then apply a good drop of a colour correcting concealer. Add some white eyeliner on your lower lash line to help make your eyes look awaken and lots of mascara. Winged eyeliner is also a must.
3) Waking up feeling bloated: Make yourself some warm water infused with honey and lemon as your morning drink. Switch this with your first cup of coffee to help de-bloat you, detox your body and boost your metabolism. Keep it a habit!
4) Waking up to a nasty pimple: Wash your face very well, moisturise, apply a zit gel and let it dry. Get a green concealer and cover the pimple. Green is opposite red, it this should cancel out any inflammation on the skin. Apply your foundation and powder afterwards. Gone!
5) Waking up to a tired pale yellow face: Wash your face and moisturise. Apply a primer that is purple toned. A great one is by Mac Prep and Prime (purple). Purple is opposite yellow, so this will perfectly colour correct your face. Apply some foundation or bb cream on top. Don't skip the blush when your face looks pale. It will add a lot of life to your dull complexion.
6) Waking up to extremely dry and tight face face: Wash your face with a soap-free facial wash. Moisturise with an intensive moisture rich face cream. A great one is by ISIS Pharma called Sicalia Balm. Does wonders for dry and eczematic skin.
7) Waking up to a bad hair day: Apply some leave in conditioner like the Oil Replacement by Pantene. Get your blow dryer and give your hair a light toss. Apply some dry shampoo on oily areas and some hair spray all over. Accessorise your hair with a nice band or even put your sunglasses on your head to camouflage.
