Weekend Habits: My Friday Moroccan Bath Ritual!

Hello Girls,

I love creating my own beauty rituals at the comfort of my own place rather than having to go down just to get a Moroccan bath appointment or a wax appointment. It's always better, more economical and more hygienic when you make everything yourself, using your own stuff and in your comfort zone.

Today, I will talk to you about my Friday 'Moroccan Bath Ritual' that I just love starting my weekend with. It's a fresh start to the day and a fresher end to a hectic week. Through this blogpost, you will find how easy and simple this ritual is and how extremely affordable you can make it. Not to mention, lots of fun too!

All you will need is:
1) Moroccan Soap (Saboon Maghrebi). This you will find in Attar. If you are lucky enough, you will find some booths in malls that sell them or even in supermarkets. Just make sure it looks like this (Jelly-wax sort of texture)

2) Moroccan Loofah: This is very important as this is what will scrub off all your dead skin from every single part of your body.

3) A back brush: Just to make sure that you reach your back properly.

4) Pumice Stone: For your feet

5) Your favorite Facial Mask

6) Your favourite facial scrub or you can create your own by using some olive oil and brown sugar.

7) Hair Mask

8) Body Mud:

9) Epsom Salts or (Mal7 El Rashid) from Attar

10) Candles, Aromatherapy oil and Spa Music (Optional of course but why not?)

The Process:

1) First Apply your hair mask on your dry hair. You can either chose to do one, buy your favourite one or just soak your hair in warm olive/sweet almond oil or even coconut oil and secure it in a shower cap.

2) Use your facials scrub and exfoliate your face for 2 minutes. Rinse with warm water

3) Apply your favourite facial mask and let it dry on your face while your doing the other steps.

4) Fill your bath rub with warm water and put 2-3 scoops of epsom salts. If you have walk in shower you won't need this step.

5) Get your Moroccan soap and Moroccan loofah and scrub your body vigorously reaching every part. You might need some water to make the soap foam a bit. Use the back brush for the back if you can't reach your back properly.

6) Once your done with this step, rinse your body in the water that is in the tub or the walk-in shower.  Don't wash your facial or hair mask yet.

7) Pat dry your body and then apply your mud mask on every single inch of your body.

8) Sit at the edge of the tub until the mud dries up and while your doing this give your feet a generous scrub with the pumice stone.

9) To help pass the time, read a magazine, listen to spa music or even indulge in some aromatherapy oil scents.

10) After 15 minutes, sit in the warm bath tub with epsom salts or just shower right away.

11) Finish off this amazing experience with some body butter and you are ready to start off your weekend. Try this one from The Body Shop. You will love it!

12) Finish off with some Camomile Tea and maybe an apple to help bring your body fluids back.

A well-deserved 45 minutes, right?
