ALERT: 23 Beauty Tips Your Mama Didn't Tell You About!
Hello beautiful girls,
As you know from my Snapchat (Hebakaissy) and Instagram (@hebakc) accounts that I have been very busy lately with makeup shoots, so this is why I haven't been able to blog all last week. I woke up missing my blog so much and thought of sharing with you so many cool tips that I keep learning in this crazy beauty industry. Everyday is literally a new day with a new tip and it really keeps getting more and more exciting along the way.
So to cut the story short, here are the best 23 beauty tips that no one told you about; not even your mother :)
1) Detox Your Arm Pits:
Yes. As crazy as this sounds, apparently this is a very essential beauty regime that you need to do on a weekly or a bi-weekly basis.
Your armpit is a harbour of bacteria, it is literally filled with chemicals from the constant deodorant application and it is a part of the body that is often neglected when it comes to proper detox.
Now the way to do that is pretty simple. Get a cotton pad and soak it in apple cider vinger and give your arm pits a swipe. Leave it on for thirty minutes and then wash it with luke warm water. Try to keep your armpits free of deodorant for at least two days and then opt for a natural deo from attar or from any health store. Do this at least once a week and then make it once every two weeks. Getting your hands on a chemical-free deodorant is a huge plus with this procedure.
2) Remove Nose Black Heads in Seconds:
If you constantly see those irritating black dots on your nose, you need to remove them immediately. All you need to do is mix some toothpaste with some salt and give your nose a one minute scrub. Keep it on without scrubbing for another few minutes and then wash it off with water. If you find that the blackheads are still there, chances are that they are deeply rooted in the skin so the need professional extraction.
3) Dry your face with cotton:
I personally stopped drying up my face with a towel. Reading the horrific stories that towels are a harbour of bacteria made me think so many times before I touch my face with one. So instead, I dry up my face with disposable cotton pads. Not only are they more soft on the face, they are way more hygienic. I know it is a drastic beauty measure, but trust me your skin is definitely worth it.
4) Soften your dried up mascara:
You have spent over 500 pounds over your latest lancome mascara and it only took a few weeks to find it clumpy and dry, don't worry at all. Apply two eye drops (Natural tears or Visine) into your tube and have it back to life in no time.
5) The use for the mysterious brush:
Everyone use this brush in the wrong way. The comb part is for the lashes to separate them and the brush part of for the eyebrows to properly groom them. Voila!
6) Wash your hair the right way:
When you come to wash your hair, shampoo only the roots once with luke warm water. When you condition it, only condition the ends. Shampoo roots/ Condition Ends.
7) Sunscreen at home:
Apply sunscreen every single morning even when you are at home. Yes, even when you are at home. Sun rays in closed places are just as harmful as when you are outdoors.
8) Hide your redness and acne inflammation:
Even if you do not want to apply makeup everyday, please do not leave your acne and redness decorating your complexion. Please conceal them because even if you are attempting a natural look, it really bothers the person in front of you. Get a green colour corrector and apply it where the redness is, then top it off with a regular beige concealer.
9) Wash your face after taking a shower:
You have to wash your face with a facial cleanser after the shower to make sure that you have removed all shampoo and conditioner residues. These residues can easily clog your pores and later on cause acne.
10) Teeth Stain Removal At home:
If you are a heavy smoker or a caffeine addict, baking soda is the best stain removal ever. Just get some on your wet tooth brush and give your self a quick clean. Do this once a week or once every two weeks if you have sensitive teeth. You will be impressed!
11) Bathe in Epsom Salts or Natural Sea Salt:
Bathing in Natural Salts or Epsom salts has been proven to have numerous health benefits to the skin and the body. Body detoxing is only one of the many outstanding benefits. Fill your tub with warm water, apply two scoops of salts and add some lavender oil. Enjoy an amazing detoxing and relaxing night at home after a tiring week.
12) Natural Oils as eye/lip makeup removers:
Coconut oil and Sweet Almond Oil are the best natural oils to remove eye/lip makeup in seconds.
13) Cold water rinse is a must:
After you are done with the shower, you have to rinse your hair with cold water. It locks in the moisture and retains the shine of your hair strands.
14) Fake Eyelashes can be re-used:
Yes you can re-use fake eyelashes up to three times if you take them off very gently and place them in a closed container.
15) Spread your face mask evenly:
If you want to ensure that your face mask is spread evenly, you can use your clean foundation brush to do that job for you.
16) Know your skin type:
You have to know your skin type because based on this piece of info, you will buy the right product for you. Never use a foundation or any skincare product that doesn't suit your skin type. If you do not know how to identify your type, then visit a dermatologist and they will tell you.
17) Use your blow dryer in your beauty regime:
The best way to apply makeup is when you apply skincare in advance. Skincare has to be absorbed and dried up on your face before you apply any makeup on or else your makeup will blotch and smudge. If you are in a rush and you need your skincare products to dry up faster, get your blowdryer on cold and give your face a quick blow of air before starting with your foundation.
18) No Primer, No Problem:
If you do not have any eyeshadow primer or lip primer, the concealer can do the job for you.
19) Shimmery eyeshadows can be multi-tasked:
If you have white, off-white, champagne, gold or silver eyeshadows, you can easily use them the same way you would use a highlighter.
20) Makeup Brushes Hygiene:
Makeup Brushes have to be washed every week or ten days maximum.
21) Scrub your lips weekly or bi-weekly:
The best way to get fuller and more pouty looking lips is to make sure that your scrub them with brown sugar and coconut oil.
22) Facial exfoliation is a must:
Exfoliate your face once or twice a week to help shed new skin and to make your skin look more glowy and natural.
23) Hair brushes can make your hair look dull:
You have to clean your hair brushes every ten days at least. Build up of dirt, accumulation of dandruff/oils, as well as left over hair can be a major threat to your scalp and hair strands. Get this tool to first remove the hair from the brush and then soak them in soapy water for at least half an hour. Rinse afterwards.
