The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Beauty Queens!

Last week episode just incase you haven't seen it!

Hello Girls.
Here are my favourite 7 beauty habits that ever woman on the face of this planet should acquire. Some of the things that I have learned myself through my experience and passion with makeup. Since I share everything with you, this is also worth mentioning.

1) Try and Test:
The makeup world offers a wide range of products every year. Every year there is something new. New formulas, new textures, new colours, new hits, new celebrity choices, and the list keeps going on.
Always make it a habit to keep searching and follow my TTCP ideology: Try, Test, Compare and then Purchase.
Of course, this may be difficult for some busy women but as much as you can try to do some research whenever a chance presents itself. There are so many hidden gems on the market that can offer you amazing products, and same results as high-end brands but for a fraction of the price.
I try as much as possible to do these "DUPES" for you here on the blog to save you this research effort. However, I also want you to start acquiring this habit as well.

2) Embrace your flaws:
You and me don't have perfect faces, complexions or skin. In fact, none of us do. We are not in the 1900's where we are lacking the right tools and products to get the best versions of ourselves. In fact, the makeup industry today has provided a solution for every problem any woman can face. They even created a need in our subconscious minds to alter our facial structures even when we were already happy with the way our faces looked- Contour/Highlight. Smart Move!

  • If you have a problem with under eye circles, conceal.
  • A chubby face, Contour.
  • Small eyelids, Smoky.
  • Small Lips, Lipliner.
  • No eyebrows, Eyebrow Shadows.
  • You have Pigmentation, use Foundation.
  • No Lashes, Lash Extensions.
  • Thin Lashes, Mascara.
  • Big nose, Contour.
  • Dull Complexion, Blush.
  • Tired of applying makeup everyday, Permanent Makeup/Tattoo.
  • No cheeks, Botox.
  • No nails, Gelish/Acrylic.
  • No time to tan, Bronzer.
  • Oily Skin, Powder.
  • Long lasting makeup, Primer.

Everything now has a solution. As the saying goes, "Today there are no ugly girls, just lazy ones."

3) Always resort back to mother nature:
From time to time or even all the time try to keep in contact with mother nature. Eating healthy is the number one solution for glowing skin. Use whatever your kitchen can offer you and try to create soothing facial/hair masks.
The more you keep using natural products, the less you will find the need to buy artificial bottled ones.
Here are only a few examples: (Will discuss them later in details in an upcoming post)

  • Sweet Almond Oil can be used as an eye makeup remover as well as a hair mask.
  • Coconut Oil can be used on the body and the hair.
  • Honey can make the best facial mask.
  • Yoghurt can make the best calming facial treatment when used cold.
  • Olive Oil can be used on dry hands and cuticles.
  • Eggs can be used as a protein mask for the hair.
  • Turmeric powder (Korkom) is the best ingredient to be added to all your facial masks for glowing skin.

4) Don't buy until you consume what you already have:
Too much buying of makeup and skincare can unnecessarily consume your budgets especially if you are not makeup experts. These products have an expiration date and if not used by then, it will be a product wasted. Make it a habit to buy when you are almost done with what you already have. However, if this is your only hobby and you treat makeup like collectibles then fine. Everyone is kind of weak in front of something and it happens to be makeup for some people.

5) Understand what suits you and what doesn't:
Even if the pink lipstick looks great on your fashionista friend, this doesn't mean that it will look good on you. Know what suits your facial structure, features, complexion and only buy what makes you look prettier not what makes you look more fashionable. Makeup is beauty, fashion isn't.

6) Always learn to read what the product offers:
Don't grab the bottles and go. Listen to what the product is trying to tell you first. Check if what it is promising is actually what you are looking for. Millions of money is wasted each year because of girls spending it on products that do not suit them.  Here is a Youtube episode to help you buy the perfect foundation that suits your skin type: Foundation & Skin Types

7) Spend on skincare more than makeup:
Taking ultimate care of your skin will make you need less and less makeup on the long run. Even if you are a makeup junkie like myself, you are going to see how great skin makes makeup look even greater. Makeup on dull skin is nothing far from a nightmare.
