Horrible things you didn't know about your dirty makeup brushes!
Hello Girls,
I want to talk to you today about the importance of washing your makeup brushes regularly.
Dirty makeup brushes are a harbour for bacteria and germs because of the build up of products and oil they keep accumulating.
A lot of girls suffer from breakouts and acne just cause they do not wash their brushes regularly. Have you ever felt your makeup is very dull? or your face looks dirty? or even the product looks cakey and ashy on your face? This is because you transfer the product to your face through a dirty makeup brush. As a result, the final look does not look that pleasant.
It's exactly like carrying a white dress with hands filled with chocolate stains and then you come and complain why the dress looks dirty.
Here is a list of horrible things a dirty makeup brush can cause:
1) Bacteria and Germs harbour:
Bacteria and Germs that live on your makeup brush are transferred to your face.
The result: Your pores are clogged and you start witnessing breakouts.
2) You ruin your brushes:
Brushes are very expensive so treating them carelessly will eventually make them not function properly.
3) You ruin your face:
Dirty makeup brushes tend to become stiffer and harsher on the face. You ruin the facial barrier when you keep harsh makeup brushes rubbing on your face.
4) Your makeup looks dirty or dull:
A brush that accumulates oils and different products will never give you the desired look you are looking for. It will give you an ashy look that makes you feel very dull.
5) The brushes lose their main purpose:
The most important use for makeup brushes is how flawlessly they blend the makeup with your skin. A dirty brush does not properly blend makeup and this is why you find blotches here and there.
6) You ruin the product:
Dipping a dirty brush accumulated with oils and makeup will ruin your expensive makeup by transferring bacteria and germs into your containers. Thus; your products will reach their expiry dates faster.
7) Dirty brushes result in open pores:
Dirty brushes cause acne and when the acne disappears it leaves behind open pores that are sometimes very hard to hide.
Wash your brushes every two weeks with anti-bacterial soap and conditioner to soften them. Doing this will make your skin look great and your makeup application will be flawless.
