The Best Tool/Method to Apply Your Highlighter!

Hello Girls,

I get so many messages from girls inquiring how to apply their shimmery highlighters and where exactly to do so.

Applying highlighters is the best part of the whole makeup look. This is where you totally accentuate your features while catching the right amount of light in certain areas of the face.

Highlighters are applied above the cheek bones and at the side of the eyes extending it to your hair line.  Look at arrows 1&2

Powder Highlighters are also applied at the centre of the nose, centre of the cupid bow (Top of the mouth), tear duct and I also like to apply it under my brow bone. 

A fatal makeup mistake that most of you may be doing is applying a highlighter directly under the eye area. Highlighters are applied to the sides of the eyes only. Applying anything under the eyes will do nothing but bring more light and attention to all the dark circles as well as wrinkles. Something you really don't want to do.

The best way to apply powder highlighters is using a small fan brush. The shape of the brush guarantees that the product is only applied in these certain specific areas where you want the light to hit. It makes the whole highlighting (Strobing) process very easy, fast and manageable.
